The work as a whole must not endorse discriminatory language or behaviour.

Drug taking may be shown but drug misuse should not be promoted or encouraged throughout the film as a whole. The misuse of easily accessible and highly dangerous substances (for example solvents or aerosols) is unlikely to be accepted.

Strong menace or threat are permitted unless sadistic or sexualised.

Imitable Behaviour

Dangerous behaviour (for example, hanging, suicide and self-harming) should not be dwelled on in detail for copying reasons. Easily accessible weapons should not be glamorised.

There may be frequent use of strong language (for example, ‘F***’). The strongest terms such as (‘c***’) may be acceptable if justified by the context.

Nudity is allowed in a sexual context but without strong detail. There are no constraints on nudity in a non-sexual or educational context.

Sexual Content

Sexual activity may be portrayed without strong detail. There may be strong verbal references to sexual behaviour, but the strongest references are seen as unjust for a ‘15’

No theme is prohibited, provided the treatment is appropriate for 15 year olds.

Violence may be strong but should not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury.

This was taken from the BBFC website; I have edited some use of language chosen by the board. Most horror movies I have researched have been certificated at a ‘15’ I believe that our movie has no extreme violence or swearing in the clip we made. However because it is just a clip this does not mean if the rest of the movie was made, it would all be at a ‘12A’ rating.
